He was born on the 9th of Ramdan, Monday, at ‘Zohar’ prayers at a place called Bolaam in Srinagar (Indian held Kashmir).

Fasting for the 21 Days of Ramadan

As it was the sacred month of Ramadan and being an inborn saint of Allah Almight, it is reported, that he did not accept mother feed till the appearance of ‘Shawwal’ moon. It was the first sign of his being a true adorer of Allah Almighty.

Later, we find a series of consecutive spiritual incidents, almost transcendental, related to him that showed that he was one of the mystics and beloved of Allah Almighty.

He used to roam around deeply absorbed in his spiritual ecstasy in the valleys of Kashmir during his adolescence. Once there, he met with Peer Shareef-u-din Rafeeqi, the caliph of Peer Maher Ali Shah (R.A). Afterwards, before the partition of sub-continent, he set out on foot through Baramulla to the hills of Murree. There, he paid his respect of to Khawaja Qasim Moharrwi (R.A). After spending some time in his service, he went to Rawalpindi. He stayed there for some time on Kahsmir Road. Then, he intended to visit the shrine of Peer Meher Ali Shah (R.A). During his visit there, he got the spiritual insights about all those predictions of Peer Meher Ali Shah (R.A) that he made to Peer Sahib earlier while accompanying him in his spiritual visits. Later, he went to Amritsar. It was a time when he was leading a life of “Majzoobiyat” (absorbed in the Divine Love and not attentive to material world). While visiting Lahore, he visited the shrine of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (R.A) and Shah Muhammad Ghaus Lahori (R.A). Eventually, he arrived Dhodha and from Dhodha to a small village of Chakwal named Mureed where his shrine is located now.
